Indeed protects and Hides Micro Focus outrageous behavior

As expected (see here ad here), .... Indeed rejected again the review provided of Micro Focus (MFGP). The issue was discussed as: Micro Focus: How to not do the right thing. You don’t want to be employed or do Business with Micro Focus.

It should be clear at this stage that Indeed's review are manipulated, under the disguise of moderation, to ensure that reports negative on their customers are not published! As a reader you now know: do not trust or rely on Indeed's review! Ever! Such a malpractice is an indication that nothing coming from them can be trusted!

I do not understand. Do you mean that it is rejected again?

Pointing me to your policy is not helping. This support request was to ask what was the problem with respect to the policy.

It makes no sense to suggest reporting facts that are publicly widely known. How can you review issues with a company employment then? Please provide an edited version of the review that would be acceptable to Indeed. If that is the requirement then no useful review can ever be provided! Isn’t it indeed to provide information and insights about the company practice that can not be found easily but should influence employment decision? Again every of your competitors have accepted the review! It makes little sense.

Here was the review text. Please provided edited / annotated version that would be acceptable:

Micro Focus made a mistake with enrollment for some of its benefits, yet confirmed them. They then modified the committed benefits, including supplementals that can be carried over year to year or when the employee leaves the company. They did that by modifying the statement committed to and back dating to that data, also as a way that seemed to cover up the changes. It affected multiple employees, many probably never noticed.

Micro Focus HR benefits played the clock to try to convince that error does not matter with the next year enrollment which is not true for supplement life insurance. They claimed they could resolved and couldn’t. Some employees did cancel existing life insurance and now have lost the coverage. Micro Focus offered no way to restore the coverage, other than with extra pain and risk during the pandemic and state lock down.

Micro Focus never followed up on paying for damage of lost coverage. When HR was reported (whistle blow) for document tampering, fraud and cover up, they threatened, with mock litigation language, through outside legal counsel supposed to discuss why Micro Focus would not have to be accountable. Answer never discussed breach of commitments, and damages due to reasonable reliance, only that ERISA law would protect, yet that is a different topic. Never mind that life insurance coverage was lost during pandemic when risk are high. Whistle blowing investigation and legal justification were driven by the head of litigations!

All that despite a no-retaliation policy. It could be construed that with such actions, Micro Focus attempted to push not older employees which have otherwise stellar records but are expensive. Clearly Micro Focus does not care as it disinvest widely everywhere including in business-critical investments.

Employees and future employee should run from Micro Focus. Why work for a company that does not care. Customer should wonder if they can trust companies that drive crazy audits of its customers but don’t respect their own commitments.

I await the reply with an edited / guided version. Ask your moderation team to do so if needed.

Please confirm you are acting on this!

Hi there, Good day! we received an update from our Moderation team in line with your review. I completely understand your frustration and I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. This is definitely not the experience we want you to get here at Indeed.

The review mentioned very detailed situations and also shared some details about the company that are not in the public knowledge of that company, as such, all would be reasons for rejection in this case.

As an option, I recommend taking a look at our Company Review Policies and submit a new review. Don’t forget to check that you’re logged in to your Indeed account when leaving a review.

Please allow five business days for your new review to be posted. If your review is not posted by the fifth day, reach out to us with the email that was used to submit the review and an approximate submission date.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding in line with this matter.

Regards,

Rosalie M.

Thank you for your reply. My name is Marin and I am taking over because Prince is not available at the moment.

I noticed that your review mentioned very detailed situations such as specific dates or the number of employees affected. This sort of information is way too detailed for a review which is supposed to be a general appreciation and judgment on the company, and it is possible that this is the reason why your review was rejected.

Like my colleague said, I recommend submitting a new review. Don’t forget to check whether you’re logged in to your Indeed account when leaving a review. Please allow five business days for your new review to be posted. If your review is not posted by the fifth day, contact to us with the email that was used to submit the review and the approximate submission date.

The detailed review is a report of the exact way that Micro Focus treats its employees, commitments and benefits. it is absolutely within the scope and remit and purpose of such review.

Not a simple fact is incorrect and not documented in ways that can be documented. There is/was no dispute of these facts by Micro Focus. The facts were repeated when leaving the company and not disputed. There is nothing here that is less known than other facts and companies reviewed by other employees and every fact is documented in ways that Micro Focus in fact had the opportunity to review and act upon. Competitors (e.g. Blind, Glassdoor, …) of yours have had no problem posting the review! I have no problem showing you a privately protected version of the material. Yes the review is terrible, but that is because what Micro Focus did is terrible and letting that known to prospective candidate is important.

Nothing, beyond name of employee is privileged or confidential material at this stage.

Preventing the review could be construed as censoring review of the company and the fact that you do not post it risk to be a blackeye on teh value of the reviews on Indeed compared to other sites.

Please provide for a way forward to have the review posted addressing what happened. Otherwise re-submitting risk to be treated exactly the same way. Again it can’t change the facts that is why I proposed that you let me know what you would like to see rephrased (and how) or dropped so that it be compliant with the policy. As I see it the proposed text was compliant. That would be extremely helpful instead of telling me to re-read something that i read and consider to already comply with. I can’t rewrite what happened without telling what happened!

Please let me know.

I appreciate your help in this matter.

Regards
